Question about MPG...Need some assistance

Whats up everyone, been a while since I've posted on here. Been busy traveling and djing =)

So my main question is this...Ever since I put my Stillen CAI's on. I feel that the power went down a little and started using more gas. I have the CAI, HFC's, fujitsubo exhaust and i actually recently removed the y pipe because it was making horrible noise so i'm back to the stock y pipe...

I want to make the best decision which will benefit me...Should I go back to the stock intake or, should I get the uprev tune which might help with the way everything flows?

I also have stock filters that came with the CAI (not k&n filters), maybe this can be an issue also?

All the help would be appreciated!

I would def get a tune. Tune will make everything run more efficiently which will make driving smoother and allow for better gas mileage.

How many miles have you put on the car after you had your intake installed? Did you reset the ecu after you did the install?

I think the ecu needs some time to learn how to adjust with the increased airflow.

I'm sure over 5,000 miles now. I have reset the ecu a few times. Maybe it's just me... But I definitely feel the car is slower after all of the mods

Sometimes intake and exhaust mods sacrifice low end torque for more power up high in the rpm range. Maybe you lost a bit down low which will make it feel slower since most time is spent under 3k rpms.

You're probably right canucklehead, I'm debating about just going back to stock intake cause I really do drive mostly slow lol

yeah low end suffers with "bolt on" mods especially CAI and bigger exhausts. ...there have been some heated arguments regarding this.
