yes its 514434. yes it does tilt horizontally. it fully swivels so you can turn it upside down if you wanted to.
my 1 complaint after using it for a few days is. its not easy to put the phone in when its dark. i liked the 4/4S holder cuz you could pop it in easily anytime with 1 hand. this one not so easy to pop in when you cant see what your doing. kinda need to use 2 hands and need to see where your placing it in.

im thinking its designed the way it is because the 9pin connector is thin compared to the 30pin style and theres not much bottom support. thats why the new holders are more of clamping style of holder rather than just a holder. haha! not entirely their fault. but thats just my guess.
not too big of deal. but yeah like you said. just more of an inconvenience.
make sure if you have a case on your phone that it will fit the dock connector pin easily with little or no resistance as this will also dictate on how easily your phone will go in. my case is kinda flexible so it pops in pretty easily with no modification needed to fit.

oh okay cool thanks for the heads up. gahh i just wish there were somethin out there that would charge the phone as well as play music. i bought the cablejive but returned it because it wouldnt charge simultaneously while playing music. The brandmotion has a bunch of bad reviews on amazon so dont really want to touch that. And with the scosche, the music quality isnt as good as without it. I think i might just have to buy another lightning cable to plug into the cigarette/usb port for a charge :/

iPhone 5 and iPod Nano Setup
Car Tested: 2008 G37s Coupe with OEM Navigation
Cables Tested: OEM Infiniti 30 Pin iPod Cable, iSimple ReVolt MINI IS712 and Apple Lighting to 30-pin Adapter
Devices Tested: iPhone 4Gs , iPhone 5 and iPod Nano (Latest 7th Gen)
Apps Tested: iPod App, iPod App with iTunes Match, Pandora, Spotify and InPlay
Cabling setup: OEM Infiniti iPod cable -> iSimple Revolt -> Apple Lighting to 30 Pin adapter -> iPhone 5 and iPod Nano (for the iPhone 4Gs test I removed the Apple lighting Adapter from the setup)
Using the parts listed above I was able to listen and control all devices using the factory radio controls including the steering wheel controls. The music information was also displayed via the OEM screen. All devices also charged while the car was on.
The only feature that did not work was when I tested both the iPhone 4Gs and iPhone 5 in "iTunes Match Mode". Meaning I had no songs downloaded locally to either device but had the "iTunes Match" feature turned on. For those that don't know iTunes Match allows you to access your entire iTunes library via an iOS device without having to download music to the device. When testing iTunes Match the radio's display would just say "no music found".
While testing streaming services (Spotify and Pandora) I was able to control the device via the car and steering wheel as well as see the music playing information from the cars screen.
Prior to installing the iSimple ReVolt adapter I could not charge any of the devices listed.

DO NOT USE THE FOLLOWING CABLE, I COULD NOT GET IT TO WORK ON ANYTHING I TIRED
Cable Jive - Dock Boss Plus for iPhone 5
Connect your iPhone 5 to your iPod or iPhone dock, speaker dock system, portable speakers with dockBoss.

I have an 08 G37 Coupe with Nav and I tried the OEM Infiniti 30 Pin iPod Cable, iSimple ReVolt MINI IS712 and Apple Lighting to 30-pin Adapter with my Iphone 5 and everything would work EXCEPT it would not charge. It's strange that it would work for some and not for others. Am I doing something wrong?

iphone 5 music
Not sure this is the right place for this but I've been looking for this factory ipod integration -> bluetooth device for a long time now. Hopefully save someone a ton of time.
With those adapters you mentioned before your up to around $60. True you get charging and better audio quality but you have to connect it manually.
I've been looking for an OEM ipod integration 30pin -> bluetooth adapter made specifically to *fake out the headunit into thinking an ipod is connected and AVCRP & A2DP (skip, play, etc.. + metadata). Granted its a bit pricey ($95 shipped), but it doesn't lock you into apple. I love my iphone 5 but i'm sick of all this adapter bs.
Just passing along I've purchased a much less expensive 30pin bluetooth adapter ~$25 that worked great for basic devices (clock radios/portable speakers) but they won't trick our G37 head units.. if someone else has found something similar cheaper please post or PM me. I plan to buy this thing soon & will report back.
