Or switch ..... I know my kids under State Farm are paying less per 6 months then friends kids (same age) under Geico.

Up here in Montreal, the IPL bumper is not that popular. Everyone here prefers the new 2012 G37S or G37xS bumper...much nicer and more fluid lines...almost Ferrari like.

So far I don't have any bad experiences with Geico. In February I reported a claim on an accident of my 2008 GTI which I bought used for $12000 and had it only for 2months. That was also hit when it's parked in front of my office building. But this time driver was there luckily because her car broke down after hitting 2cars. My car was declared as total loss. And Geico paid me $14500. Gained $1500 after taxes on this accident. Sometimes we win sometimes we lose.

I'm paying 230/month on 3 cars & 2 drivers.
1.) 2008 Infiniti G37S 6MT coupe.
2.) 2012 BMW 328i 6MT sport Line Sedan
3.) 2013 Nissan Altima 2.5SV sedan (wife's car)

And I drive 2000-2500 miles every month on an average for my work and personal reasons.

Thanks for the advice. will consider switching if things go bad between geico & me

Hey, I live in Philly and 95% of the body shops here suck. If you want the best, google cavallo auto body. They work on ferraris, bentleys, etc. They will make your car like new.

If someone else totaled your car, why did you make the claim? Did they not have insurance? If you use uninsured motorist, it does not go against you.
Comprehensive does not go against you either...unless you seem to make quite a few claims that make it seem unreasonable.

Also, why did you pay taxes on the insurance money for your totaled car? You should not have to pay taxes on that...

I sent my car to Rob's Automotive in Bristol, PA. I will go there in the afternoon and see their estimate. Based on the estimate I have to decide if I'm leaving my car with them or I'm going with another body shop.

Thanks for suggesting Cavallo. I will save it for future needs.

At the time of accident I reported to Geico immediately. So, they took care of everything. It was a no headache process.
I meant the taxes $960 that I paid when I bought GTi for $12000
Geico paid me $14500

Just for future reference...you can request your insurance company pay the taxes on a new vehicle based on the value they gave you for your car, if it was not part of the settlement.

Reporting the accident is not the same as a claim...so you should not have a problem with a claim on your record...

Damn. That's a good info. I don't know about that. Will remember this. At least I can suggest to someone who might be in the same situation. Thanks.

All went well. My collision center did really good with insurance and managed to save me from spending deductible. And also I will have little money left to spend on some extra work.
They are replacing front Bumper and left fender.
And I also asked them to do following works, because they told me that they can't give me cash that's left over after replacing bumper & fender.

1.) Eibach Pro-Kit lowering Springs

2.) EBC Rotors & Pads
Rotors: EBC Sport Rotor Dimpled Slotted Brake Rotor
Rotor Front model -- GD7512
Rotor Rear model -- GD7513
Pads: EBC YellowStuff 4000 Series Street - Race Track Brake Pad Set
Front Pad Set model -- DP41823R
Rear Pad Set model -- DP41824R

Luckily this incident didn't turned out to be a disappointment.

Thanks for all your comments and advice. I will be doing mods on my own after getting car back.

Thanks.
I live in Park Towne Place Apts at 22nd & Ben.
I have one garage parking. But I have 2cars. One I have to park within community parking.
In last one year two incidents happened in parking
1.) Someone keyed from back to front on the right side.
2.) Current incident.

not surprising - philly is a terrible city to own a car in. i'm actually going to sell mine because a. i know it will get ruined on the street b. parking garages cost an arm and a leg and c. i dont really need it that much

heres a suggestion for you on a shop - its a drive outside the city but they do great work and have a great reputation. may be a wait to get in there though.

G37 : R/T Tuning Speed Shop

for body work i bring my car to this spot

Al Million & Son Body Shop Inc.
