Black Chrome Midnight Grille

Black Chrome Midnight Grille
Well, Finally got around to doing my grille and IPL foglight trim rings. I was tired of all the chrome, but wasn't sure about going with a gloss black, because IMO the BlueSlate doesn't pull off black very well. So I decided a mixture would look pretty good. So I gave it a shot at Duplicolors Shadow Chrome after seeing Xcaliburs pictures. The fog light rings are a tad darker than the grille, which is what I wanted, but maybe a tad too dark, but when the sun hits them, they look great. Its really hard to tell the black chrome in pictures, they look more like a gloss black, but in person they're awesome. The grille came out really good as well. I'll get some better shots later on once I do a little wet sanding and buffing. But for now, these iPhone pics will have to do. Thanks XCalibur for the inspiration!
And a before shot just for the hell of it.

I did mine using the same materials! And it's true about taking pictures of it, you'll always get different color tones, sometimes a dark purple, a dark blueish, or just plain black.
I think it makes the car look wider, don't you think?
What spacers will you be getting, and what size have you been thinking about?
I'm dropped on Eibachs and used H&Rs 15mm all around. I wish I had used 20mm for the front, because they look a little tucked in, but I'm getting a camber kit and will then see how it looks.
Looking good OP!

Process is really easy actually. You lay the paint just like you would with any other color, but there's no sanding. At least I didn't. I just laid a generous coat so it would lay smooth. And only did 2 coats of base, 3 coats of clear. As for prep I washed the parts and then used duplicolors prep spray and wiped it down with a microfiber cloth. Came out really clean and then started laying the base.
I want to run 20mm H&Rs all around.
