Sunroof is very tinted from factory .... your best tint is a Carbon. It's up to you on rolling the legal vs. illegal dice. I went with 45 plus the factor get's be at about 37 which is just legal. Looks fine IMHO but not so dark to alarm police or hinder nightime driving.

 

if you are looking for the creme de la creme top of the line tint and are especially interested in heat rejection, then u should look up 3M's Crystalline.

They offer a 70% that looks nearly clear so it will pass practically all tint laws - it also rejects heat as much as some of other brand's dark 30% tints

 

Ehh.. go 5% All around and 20% on the whoooole windshield, looks very very good on mine!

 

You tinted your windshield? You do know if you get into a wreck and insurance sees that your windshield is tinted it won't be covered?

 

Really? Even if it's super light?

 

I have Huper optik on my g. It blocks the heat much better than the llumar on my 3. It does have a charcoal hued mirror look to it. The 3 looks a little more sinister.

 

Yeah I know, I'm putting 40% All around and 50% on the windshield next time on my new G. I went a little bit too far with tints lol... It looks amazing tho!

 

I live in NJ and I have 35% all around and I havent been hassled about it. I went to Top of the Line Tint in Lodi, NJ and they did a good job.
