Racing Stripe thoughts
I haven't seen any coupes with racing stripes and I have been thinking of doing it lately... any thoughts or comments? I photo shopped a few versions and it doesn't look bad at all...

I think a neon orange stripe would look great on a blue slate g37 coupe!!!!! Wait, on second thought, no. I really can't imagine any racing stripe would look good, but I would like to see the shopped pictures.

I vote for a Japanese flag painted on the entire roof.

If you want stripes more power to you, you will not find much support on this board however. It will look out of place.

No it won't. Not only will it not look good, it will look horrible. Yes, it has been done. I'm not going to search and post the hideous results, but it has been done. And it was every bit as ugly as most people think it is. If OP wants to do it to his car, go right ahead. Post photos if you want to. But when asking for thoughts and comments most people will tell you it looks bad. If you are modding with the opinions of others as your guide (since the question was asked of the forum) then be prepared for most to try to talk you down from jumping over that ledge. If you just want to jump, don't ask. Just put them on and be happy with it. Or regret it.

There is more, but because the forum search engine doesn't include an option to find posts / threads that only have all the words and exclude the others that have some, but not all of the words in the search, they are sometimes nearly impossible to find. This is major deficit in the search engine's function, compounded by the fact that many threads are titled with words that have no related information to the content, also compounded by the fact that this trend has almost no end in sight.
Proper titling of threads is an important part of reducing similar redundant threads. It's too bad that it's not enforced or at least encouraged more...
