Okay. Then I'd regress to a regular-looking stock car w/ nice wheels - the vehicular equivalent of a sharp but dull three piece gray suit. I was aiming for more of a Robert Graham / Jhane Barnes look. I don't own a suit for a reason.
Every artist who retains a shred of idealism hopes that what they create as a mirror of their own taste - is universally lauded by others without criticism. But that almost never happens. I have to be 'commercial' in my professional art and design - but my G is where I can really express myself, knowing realistically that there will always be people who think I ruined the car and must be insane.

I love your wheels and the stripe is growing on me. I just think it would look a lot nicer if you removed the part of the rear bumper cover and just left the side like domestic cars. It sort of reminds me of the retro 03/04 Mach 1 Mustang decals and the decals on Saleen Mustangs which look very nice IMO.
I hope you continue to share photos of your project with us.

The stripe is more of a 'domestic' look (I'm avoiding the word 'Detroit'), though I've seen similar stripes on many a 350 and 370Z.
BTW: I'm shocked at how smooth this car rides in spite of the suspension/wheel change! Way to go Swift!

I didn't notice the red stripe until I read the rest of the posts! Now that I see it, it's not all that bad. I've seen much worse and people on this forum was giving props.
