Car Start Up Problem... Rarely
Hey everyone, I hope I'm not disturbing you guys with the questions. But since you have higher experiences with the G I wanted to ask you about this. My car doesn't start up properly every like 15 days or so... I push-to-start the engine and it just disconnects automatically. After several tries it either starts up at last or I need to give it a little throttle. The car is in mint condition and the maintenance was always done at the dealership on time. Do you think it might be the battery? Doesn't it show on the dashboard? Thanks guys!

battery is hard to tell for sure, does it try to start and fail and make like a buzzy whining noise? that kinda noise would be the battery not having enuff power to turn the starter properly. Also even a bad battery will often work and even test just fine if you drive the car every day because it hasnt had enough time to lose its charge, if you notice that you leave the car sitting for a day and then it doesnt work but if you use it day by day it will push through, then its likely the battery.
if there is more of a fast wizzing sound then it could be the starter not catching the fly wheel.
next time it happens maybe try jumping it and see if it helps. it would start right up if its battery issues, and it would have the same problem it has had if its something else.

It's a 2008 model. The car actually tries to start but fails. It does that so rarely. Last time it happened to me was two days ago. I left it at Zeibart for a Gold Care package for the interior and exterior. It stayed there for a whole day. When I wanted to leave it did this. Other than that, the car is fine. When I parked home, I turned it off and on for almost 5 times and it worked just fine !

i had a similar issue with my car... would press start buttom, IP would start and die off... it did this a few times on that start attempt... this was a few months ago and it happened again a month ago... took like 6 attempts to get it to start and finally it did... turned it off and tried again and it took like 5 attemps to get it to start... so i went straight to th dealership...
dropped it off on saturday and didnt get it back until friday... had a loaner though... so they couldnt find an issue as they went from 1 tech to 3 different techs on this one and they didnt want to return the car until they found the issue... they had to get an infiniti engineer to come down and figure it out and he said it was the throttle chamber.. got this replaced under warranty...
have them scope that out... if warranty can replace it, dont care how long it takes them... think it might be same issue... take it in and get it checked out...

Had a similar issue with my vehicle, car starts and then dies. Had my throttle bodies cleaned about 6 months ago at around 85,000k and is as good as new. Have yet to experience this again.

I brought my g37 in for similar and they said my 2008 needed a throttle system cleaning & I just got it back today; the car is much peppier than it was before.
My car would die sometimes when I start it in the morning or Id need to give it a little gas. it wasnt the battery.

i had this issue 3 days ago, took it in (after i finally got it started,) and the dealer said my ECM (engine control module) had burned out, they replaced it(under warranty). def. worth taking in to get it checked out!
