if that part "a" is where you bolt it through the bumper then yes but if that's the hole that's just kinda there then no. I've never had any bolts in it on either side

make sure you tighten that bolt or its going to not flush all the way.

if you're talking about the one that goes through the bumper it self I already did tighten it down.

Did you do that for both sides? There are two metal brackets that clamp the bumper together.

do you think you could get a picture of this bracket. I think my car might have been missing these. Which would solve my problem.

There a metal bracket that gets attached to the plastic bracket. It only goes in the right way and they are both marked as RH and LH for each side

That is correct. 100% sure you got it or else your old bumper would of been the same.

You must have had it ......perhaps you dropped it, I know I did the first time, and then I realized I was missing something when I got to the other side.....

Same happened to me. Once you unscrew that one 10mm bolt, that metal bracket just falls off freely. I didn't even realize it either until I did the other side lol.
