How to fill the front license plate holes?

This past weekend I picked up a new 2012 G37 IPL. I love the car and could not be more pleased with the purchase. My only challenge is that I did not catch the dealership in time before they bolted on the front license plate bracket. This addition absolutely ruins the beauty of the front end.

Is there an easy way for me to remove the bracket and cover the holes, or is this something I need to take to a body shop to handle?

For the people who've ordered these bumper plugs on bumperplugs.com, is the color match pretty good?

or if you don't want ANY holes and just want it completely cleared up, take it to a body shop.

YO! Bump for another Houston G37, I covered mine up with a plug bought from Home Depot by 610/59 Loop across from HCC Southwest and painted it myself with touchup paint. I say don't buy it from bumperplugs.com because it's HUGE/FUGLY. You can always try to buy an aero bumper and resell the orginal off from http://www.orderinfinitiparts.com/pa...3&catalog=8747 but it seems like they jacked up the prices for the popular colors FTL

Whats wrong with a lil DIY? You'll feel closer to your G when you do things yourself

The same thing happened to me when I got my vert last year. The dealer actually offered to take care of it for free (they took my car to a body shop they often used) because I told them specifically beforehand that I didn't want/need front license plates. Maybe try to see if your dealer would do the same. If not, then just have a body shop fix it, it shouldn't cost more than $200 because they'll only need to repair the middle section of your bumper then clear coat the entire bumper. I've seen bumper plugs and used them before but I think they kinda make the bumper look awkward especially for a new car. But choice is yours and GL!

I told the dealer not to install the mounting plate before they brought the car over from their storage lot. They didn't. Phew! But, they insisted I sign a document that stated I specifically told them NOT to put it on the car.

Thank you for the H-Town shout out!

I'll hit up Strictly Gs and start a thread there as well. See if there are local shops that could cover up the hole.
