Whatcha Think - Graphite Carbon Fiber Door Pulls

So.. My handles we scratched up when I purchased the car, and I'm pretty into modding.. immediately I went and replaced with new shiny ones..

Here's the old..

You get the picture..

Then I had some free time..and wanted to see what it would look like with the Graphite CF on it..

Here's the progress.. and finished result.. Whatcha think?

Should I continue and get ALL theparts.. or just leave the handles.. ? My concern is that I really don't want to look overdone or duller vs the brightness of the aluminium.. might just leave the handles, do the shift trim -6mt, and perhaps my steering wheel bezel.

I'm going to leave it for a week or so ..see how it grows on me..

Wow! Normally I think the carbon fiber trim just looks too dark on the black interior and gets lost. I like the contrast of the aluminum, but with your red leather insert, the carbon fiber trim looks amazing man! I say keep it! If you decide you want to go back to the aluminum look, I actually sanded down my scratched up ones and used a corse grit like 200 or so and made my handles look like brushed aluminum and then clear coated over it. I personally think they look great. But I love your CF on the red.

very simple, small flat head screw driver ,on the underside of the handle is small dips in the vinyl, and pull to you. the top of the cover has a larger j hook as a guide. START at the bottom

I think they're going to stay. It is 3m Dinoc.

Comes off just as Betterdays says..I used a butterknife.. more surface area, start at bottom and inside area to stay inconspicuous if any marks are left.

I thought of sanding the previous and going that route, but I had the graphite CF here, so figured I give it a try.

Anyone know how durable this stuff is? Can it handle everyday use, or weather? any fading..? If used outside of the car...

Thanks for the compliments. :-)

FYI .. I do have the whole prior interior for sale. I have to post like 32470 time prior to being able to sell or something on here right?

Agreed - against the red it looks really good!

My only suggestion would be to make sure the fibre lines are running in the same direction. Drivers door has them running horizontally whereas passenger door appears to be running vertically.

I am somewhat of a fanatical nut (borderline ADD) and that would bother me but, if it does not bother you, dont sweat it. Sorry if i made you notice it...

I would love to do it but think it is the red leather that is truly playing it up.
