New Owner of G37???

Hi my name is Fred and I am likely to purchase a 2008 base coupe model with about 22k miles for $22k. The car fax indicates it had an accident but otherwise looks great.

Does the price seem okay for this or should I keep looking? I don't think it has a ton of additional options.

Any feedback would be great!

Thanks!!!

Fred

try to get a mechanic to look at it and tell you what type of damage it had before you buy. if it was minor cosmetic damage your good to go, id hit the dealer with 20 and work out the difference.

Keep looking. IMO that is not a good deal at all. You can get a 2009, maybe even a 2010 sedan for that price with no accident. Anything with accident history, walk away. Keep looking, you'll find one.

I would say walk away....plus, if you ever want to sell it, it might be harder with an accident showing.

just my .02

........walk away

See here is where my feelings are different then alot of people.. I agree the price is not great and that the accident devalues the car and the extent of the damage is unknown. As with any investment DO YOU HOMEWORK before you purchase the car. If it was only cosmetic damage it puts you in a great negotiating position for the car. If the dealership really wants to move the unit, you will be able to steal it. If you really love this car over all your options just get it checked out by a mechanic for repaired wires (deal breaker) and other mechanical repairs.

Think long term too! Once the car is an "accident vehicle" it is always one. When you come to resell the car, you will take a huge hit on its value, or not be able to sell it at all.

walk away... my buddy bought a g35 and it had rear end damage... lets just say he went through a lot of tires before he got that issue fixed..low ball the offer if you really want the car so that you have extra money left over to put into the car

I'd say walk away man. You'll find another G Coupe for that price, maybe not with 22k miles though...
