I scratched one of my exhaust tip backing into a snow bank last winter. Just noticed the scratch today when detailing my coupe.

Is our exhaust tip chrome or polished stainless steel?

I noticed some rust spots where the scratch is.
What is the best way to fix this? Clean, polish, and spray paint?
