hey everybody.
I bought 2009 g37x from insurance auction 2 month ago.Car got damage to front/passenger side.Few days ago it was finally finished and i got one problem though.Yesterday went to gas station tanked 5gal(during repair i put 10gal in it) so i got over 15gal but my gauge is stuck under E and i got----miles to go with yellow triangle warning on dash.Is my floater stuck because of hit?maybe i need to open odometer and help to move it?any suggestions?thanks

You could remove the fuel pump & sender and clean/check the float assembly. It's an easy job, just remove the back seat bottom to get access to both senders (there is one with the fuel pump on the passenger side, and another float/sender on the driver's side). Once out, you can take a Qtip & solvent to clean the contacts on the sending unit circuit board. Only thing to watch out for when putting the fuel pump back in, is ensuring the in-tank line doesn't get tangled around the float. There is a DIY on here if you do a search, also it has a link to detailed instructions. That's where I would start, much easier than getting into the Odometer and trying to move it.

@Kurens - This link also has very good directions/pictures for the removal of the fuel pump & sending unit (start on pg 5). If your car has not ran for 12-24 hrs, there will be no fuel pressure in the line when you disconnect it. Also these instructions recommend disconnecting the battery, however, I didn't really see a need as you unplug the connector for the pump & sender anyway (and I didn't want to have to reset all my stereo info!).
