Blind Spot 2009 g37x

I just recently purchased a 2009 g37x coupe and there is a really bad BLIND SPOT on the drivers side. How have others dealt with it? Any recommendations?
THANKS

Position the side mirror as far out as you can. I have no problems with blind spots on my G.

Thanks--I did try that but it still seemed a little bad. Someone had said there was an accessory you could place on the side mirror that would eliminate blind spots. Anyone know anything about that?

All coupes have pretty big blind spots, as suggested work the mirrors the best you can.

Head to the gym, or do some yoga. You need to work on your flexibility. I tend to do one of these moves, but it tends to get a little annoying in the rain.

No but in all seriousness, the blind spot is fairly small, it just feels like you have no visibility over your shoulder. If you do actually turn your head, you can kinda peek out of the side of the window, or even the rear seat window and cover all the spots.

The blind spot in the G is a non issue if your mirrors are properly set. My Z has a BIG blind spot, far worse than the G. Once again though if the mirrors are set correctly it is a non issue.

There is a spot mirror you can put on your passenger side but really you shouldn't need it. Have someone stand in your "blind spot" and adjust your mirror till you can see them.

Do what I do.

Say f*ck it, and cut motherf*ckers off.

Haha, in all seriousness, it's really not that bad. Although when I park in my garage at work, I usually. Have to open the door to back up cause my short *** cant see out the back. Just gotta be careful I guess.

How to Set Rearview Mirrors to Eliminate Blind Spots: 5 steps

There you go. Follow that and you will be set. It took me a while to get use to but I do that for all my cars and it works perfect.

Haha wow. Where the hell did you find that? I'm so trying this when I leave for work today. Just judging by what that small article said, I have WAY too. Much overlap.

Thanks Kid

Haha. NP this was posted some time last summer about blind spots. Just had to dig through the search posts and re-found the link.

With mirrors set properly, I find that my G has less of a blind spot than the Accord sedan it replaced.

I've always noticed that most people don't set their side mirrors correctly. Most people have them aimed to see mostly the side of their car...

Exactly. If you can see your blind spot in your mirror you can't see the side of your car. Most people turn their mirrors in too far.

The problem is most people don't know the actual size of their car and they need the side mirrors to have at least part of the car in them so they have a point of reference relative to their car.

I learned to drive on a fullsize conversion van, with a useless review mirror. The rear windows had a very dark tint, so couldn't really see anything.

Found the best was to have the sideview mirrors adjusted such that there was just a sliver of the van present (for reference). Someone suggested the little 2" blind spot mirrors. With them, the view was great. Could see the blind spot as well 2 lanes over. Some years back, worked for a company that provided me with a cargo van, with solid rear doors. Again, the rear view mirror is useless, more of a decoration than anything else.

Been using them since on all my vehicles, bike included. In fact, the bike probably has the worst blind spot of all. Can't see anything directly behind.
