Had my stock g37s rims taken off during the weekend. They stole two wheels from a neighbour's storage locker and placed them under my car and dropped it on the front rotors. I've had my front rotors and brakes replaced just a week before. Not sure if they are damaged because of this.

In Canada, the replacement rims and tires from the dealer will cost about 7500 cad

The last few nights I had really bad sadistic dreams about what should be done to these thieves.

sucks man but as for the brakes as long as there is no visible damage u should be alright.

Just out of curiosity, did you have wheel locks?

Not that it matters, I've read everywhere that those things just slow a thief down by a few minutes if not seconds.

Wheel locks next time. It helps with peace of mind even if it "supposedly" doesn't help that much. Hope insurance covers something.

 

I had regular oem nuts, but from looking over similar threads wheel locks don't always help.

 

Looks like the first for someone in Canada that I know of. Looks like either Alberta or Quebec since there is no front licence plate. I'm gonna go with Quebec?

Sad that it happened, even what seems like to be a covered parking spot. Lock nuts will keep the amature theives away for the most part, but pro's won't stop. It's probably good to invest in a shock sensor to go off when someone impacts or bumps your car. It may just scare them away or even let you know something is going on with your car.

I'd put on lock nuts just to make them at least think twice before trying it.

 

Right at the centre of the Alberta's economy Unfortunately a long drive from Calgary.

TD insurance said it will be covered but the adjuster hasn't contacted me yet. So I am not sure if they'll cover the full amount.

 

Looks like something to be tied into the viper alarm system. Picking up an aftermarket impact/shock sensor could probably be tied into the factory system like the one Infiniti used to sell (heard it was discontinued?). Just have to tap into the same wires as the infiniti guide for it to work. Most of them work on the same principle to set the trigger anyway.

If you wont be able to hear the alarm, might be good idea to invest in an aftermarket alarm to alert you by your smartphone or fob when your not near the car.
