Here we go

Aright guys! This thread is now alive! I ordered from AutoAnything and got mine yesterday. Paint is basically a perfect match (shockingly...).

I need some help on installing it.

How did you guys connect the brake light?

Can someone take a picture of camera/hole with the elite spoiler on top? I'm curious how it looks.

And does OEM spoiler (w/ camera hole) come with camera installed or do you have to reuse your old camera?

Thanks much in advance.

Don't have a picture since I don't have a rearview camera, but the OEM one reuses your camera.

I'm sure it would reuse the camera.

It looks good, but it's pretty easy to improve over stock. So did you drill into the trunk, or just sticky tape it? How does it hold up at high speed?

And yes, long cat is long.

Just a word of warning. While my 2009 G37x coupe DID have the extra 3rd brake light connector in the wiring harness near the trunk lid latch, it DID NOT have power going to it. The installer wasted some time hooking up to this connector only to find that it didn't work and having to splice into the wire for the 3rd brake light in the rear deck. Not sure if there is a separate fuse for it or what?

Nope. Came with the bare essentials: the light, a few screws and nuts, and thats basically it.

Here are the generic install instructions from the Elite Spoilers website.
http://po.b5z.net/i/u/2155674/f/Bolton.pdf

For me, it was worth it to just pay a shop $100 to do it for me, but the install didn't look too bad. The worst part for me probably would have been when they put the bolts through the holes they drilled in the top of the trunk lid, and then had to find where they exited through on the bottom of the trunk lid and drill to find the ends of the bolts to put the nuts on.

The longcat is long comment refers to the threadjack on the bottom of page 6, post 90, where EricP3 only words were "longcat is long" with a pic of his stretched-out cat. (That's feline, not the exhaust cat.)

Someone kept claiming to go stock so you don't put a bunch of holes in the trunk, but I think the holes just get drilled into the stock chrome lip? If you would ever have a problem, another member would probably just give you a new chrome lip to replace it. They are always on the for sale classifieds, but I've never seen one sell, as most people want to replace them. It's like selling a Journey bumper.*I plan on upgrading to one of these. It makes a statement for $200, but to spend $500 just for a simple painted piece of plastic? I'll take my chances that this will last.

Are you happy with the fit and is it stable at speed?

I'd love to see a DIY with photos on this. Mostly interested in where these holes need to be drilled.

Looks like a nice OEM replica spoiler mod at a nice price. Color-matched and shipped for $170, can't be beat, especially for the harder to find colors. I'd rather spend the additional money on gas.

+1 for DIY...but I'm just taking it to a shop to install. I don't want to seriously mess anything up.

Here we go! Round 2 lol.

Only major issue was the fitment of the brake light inside the little slot, but not noticeable at a far distance.

Ignore the little black thing, I cleaned that off.
