Ok we all talk about maintenance but once again it's like that with ALL models. I've said it before and I will say it again. Nissan/Infiniti does make BAD cars. They are not perfect heck there were people where who came from BMW to an Infiniti and they have been having nothing but trouble on their car. Also, many have said they will never but an Inifiniti again because it was POS to them.

Bad cars could be said for all make and model. If you actually think about it. You have a 50-50 chance of either getting a good car or a bad car with all make and model. So to say BMW,Audi,Merc have car issues just think about if Infiniti makes a perfect car.

Audi was red flagged by consumers, one of the least reliable car brand.

Sure, some Infinitis have problems, but you have a higher probability of headache-free ownership and a very long service life with the Infiniti than with German brands based on reliability surveys such as truedelta.

The unfortunate thing about many recent-production BMWs and Audis is that they suffer from some high-incidence problems with specific components, such as fuel pumps and turbos for BMW, and carbon buildup at the valves due to direct injection for Audi (also a problem, but to a lesser degree, with BMWs).

Having said that, reliability is only one consideration in the car buying decision-making process. It's certainly fine to ignore that, and put more weight on other aspects, but it's an area where there's a significant difference between Infiniti and Audi (or BMW).

within the first 3-5 years of ownership? or are those some of the long term, post-warranty issues? I don't think someone with a typical lease term will have major issues. The guy who buys the car when it comes off lease? OH YEAH!!! lol

I'm leasing again, for 30 months. I like to switch cars as I have a fickle mind.

I took like two pics, one last night and one this afternoon in the parking lot of my work. I'll be in DC so I'll be taking a load more pics with much better scenery lol...

Build quality is so much better with this car than my Infiniti but the Infiniti was still a legit car. I got tons of compliments on it on a weekly basis but this Audi has gotten all ages staring at me lol...

I personally, think there is a big difference between Audi quality and Infiniti

BMW and Audi, I stay away from. Granted, I have only put 15,000 miles on my G37, however, I have had nothing in the slightest go wrong, or even not go right 100%. My dad bought a new 535, and within 2 months he had already had 3 problems. One the car just refused to turn over or power on, with the battery still being good.....mystery I tell you. The other, it refused to shift out of park, and I am not sure, but I think he had a fuel pump problem as well.

Either way, I can say that the G37 is by far the most solid car I've owned, and I'm on car numero 8.

I guess the old adage "to each his own" best sums up this topic.

Hopefully everyone can enjoy many trouble free years, whether that be with a new Audi or the Infinitis.

Quite a few reports of significant problems even early on when the car is practically new. For example, fuel pump failures on BMWs seem to happen pretty much randomly... Audi doesn't do great in the early years of ownership either based on truedelta.

I don't think these cars are horrible from a reliability perspective, just significantly less reliable on average than the Infiniti. Not necessarily a big deal, though, because, like I said, reliability isn't everything, and it is indeed less of a consideration if you lease or plan to own the car for only a relatively short amount of time.

COOL! Have fun, dude. You will enjoy driving a car with true performance on a regular basis. Before I bought my benz, I was thinking about an S5. I LOVE the exterior, but hate the interior. LOL

The car I loved to hate .... the Honda parts were wonderful, the British cosmetics were beautiful (still the best leather/wood interior I have ever owned). It was the British electro-mechanical stuff that had me in the shop (under warranty) all the time! That car drove like a dream, better than the Acura version.

I wasn't comparing an Audi to a Sterling ....
