Grill doesn't matter. Its behind the lower grille and the IPL/Aero bumper does NOT get in the way of the sensor. It works 100%.

Just wondering .. Absolutely not questioning that fact that its working for you TwoThree, but logically, that thing should work like a proximity sensor. Having the cutout gives it free space to detect vehicle in front. Having the grille in front will obstruct/confuse it. Maybe that's the logic even dealerships are using.
But good to know that you are not having any issues.

There's an entire thread about the IPL bumpers and sides, I have pictures in there along with many others than have swapped for the IPL/Aero parts.

Have blown fuse today and took car to Infiniti and the tech looking at my car said my front aero/IPL bumper was blocking the laser and that could cause many problems... lol?

I'm sorry but my God! What bunch of Idiots.

The aero front bumper when installed will block Sensors that are needed to Properly control ICC to Accelerate and decelerate the car! TwoThree you my friend are giving out very bad info and should be ban! What you are doing is Dangerous misleading information! As right on infinit site!!! Aero package will not work with tech package the dealer is following the The proper information that was given by the manufacturer Nissan!!

So unless are an Engineer and you work for Infiniti and you designed this system then if not'nshut the hell up!

Do not Under any circumstances!! Block your ICC box and then try and use it!! Because of you ran into the back of someone because you block your sensors someone like me I would make sure you got charges pressed against you!
