Is anyone elses gas gauge needle inaccurate?
Long story short,
Needle was reading E.
Went to gas station to fill up.
Gas pump cut off when tank was full.
Only filled up ~10 gallons?? wtf?
Last time Ive checked, the G had 20 gal capacity.

1. Everybody's needles are pretty much fubar in some way (of course there are some who will say theirs is fine and it may be) But there's been many complaints about this.
2. You sure the tank was full? Mine and a couple of other peoples' cuts off far before it fills and we need to hold the nozzle upside down to get it to fill.

Yeah. I believe many people have the same issue and if you're still under warranty better go get that fixed. On mines it'll never reach to the "F" mark even if I tried to Pump in some fuel. So then I was browsing around the G35driver.com and found many many people with the 1st gen G's are having this issue and there is a DIY fix which cost you nothing except 30min of your time. Here's a few comparison pics of mines before and after I cleaned the fuel sender circuit board.
You can clearly see the differences and so far so good! Usually my gauge level would drop a bit more over night then creeps back up after I drive it but it stayed at the same level.

Are you still under warranty though? This consist of pullin out both of your fuel pump assembly located under your rear seat and pulling the fuel lines.

I've only had this happen once. Removed the nozzle from the filler, let it vent for a few seconds, then resumed refueling at a slow/medium rate.
I reset the trip meter after each refuel, so have some idea how much fuel should go in based on type of driving and miles driven.

Unfortunately my warranty expired last month. I have a 08 coupe as well and also had the same problem on a couple of occasions. It would read E with the light on. I leave the car over night on E. When I start the car up again and drive it would shoot back up.
