Is there a reserve tank in the coupes? I know there's a 10 liter reserve tank in the verts.

I've driven the Vert until the needle was past E and the range meter said "---" but when I filled up to full again, only filled up 65 liters and the capacity is 76 liters. I even waited for the gas to settle again to make sure I really get a full tank.

Doubt there's a reserve tank, There is a drivers side and passenger side tank though. They're connected for sure since it only has 1 fuel pump but 2 float valve sensor.

I don't know if any of you had this happen but I love it when the warning light comes on and the display flashes, for example, 24 miles....you drive a mile down then it drops to 15 miles...drive a few more miles the it jumps back up to 32 miles? WTF??

Happens to me all the time! That warning light is worthless! I'd rather they use the traditional fuel light instead.

Didn't know there was a rule of thumb for when we need to refuel?

But in my case with gas at $4.59 a gallon here in beautiful Southern Cali I just want to squeeeze as many mile as possible out of that tank of gas

I had it happen to me during the first year I had my car. Dealer fixed it and it hasn't been a problem since.

I let mine get pretty low before I refuel because i don't want to be at the gas station every day. 1 trip to school and a bit of driving around locally and I'm already at half a tank left.

Like I said earlier! This would be a good DIY for those who are out of warranty. Only takes about 1/2 hr to do.

I don't understand this because you will always need gas to drive the car, and sucking it bone dry isn't good for it.

It's not like buying a drink and finishing it before thinking about buying another drink.

What are you gaining by driving it to empty if you will just need to refill it anyway? You aren't getting more value for your gas. With rising gas prices, you're actually waiting longer to pay more for gas. :-p

You are correct in saying that running it bone dry is not good for the car.

I never run my car to empty and please tell us what you gain by refilling your tank every time you reach 1/2 tank?

Like I said, I like to squeeze all I can out of it. My choice not yours. To each their own buddy.

09's seem to be quite a bit more accurate. I go for fuel when my distance to empty is between 50-75 miles. At this point, my fuel gauge shows slightly under a 1/4 tank. (Also depends on what MPG I have been averaging at the time).
