question about bolt ons!

On a g37 coupe s how high can your hp go just doing bolt ons. Im talking about cai,exhaust,headers,hi-flo cats, plenum, tune, etc... I just want to know atleast an estimate and how much is it gonna cost. Thanks in advance for the answers.

The general consensus is that the motor is already pretty well optimized. Although bolt ons are available, but don't expect the gains to be huge. As of now I don't believe anybody makes a plenum for this motor.

I guess I should add that nitrous is one bolt on that has shown huge gains. Not saying I would recommend it though.

IMO, the only thing bolt ons are good for, is to sound louder and more aggressive. Bolt ons aren't what you're looking for if you want big power.

To answer your question, I think the highest N/A numbers are in the 315whp range depending on the dyno. The costs for bolt ons will run you into the thousands and never get you "serious" hp. With that said, Ive bought a crap ton of bolt ons so it comes down to your preferences.

Stillen Gen3 + MXP Exhaust= 300whp 260trq for my G37S with an uprev tune. I don't see how people can get 325whp with only bolt ons. I would save up or get a loan and go for a supercharger.

I know that theres already a thread for sc and tc. Iv only used a car that has a built in tc like 300zx, the engine on that one is already built to have turbo. What FI do you guys prefer for daily driving thats not going to blow the engine, TT or SC?

get a shot of nitrous 50 or 75 hp. it wont hurt this engine as long as you dont use it in excess. for the $ the best bolts ive witnessed are: hfc, gen 3 intake (the true cold air intake), uprev. other bolt ons work but for the $ they dont justify

TT or SC will give you the most power but you will also trade off peace of mind and reliability. Bolt-ons and Tune will cost you a decent amount and only help you break the 300 whp mark, but you will maintain reliability and peace of mind. At the end of the day, no one can make that choice for you. You'll have to figure out what's most important and what you're willing to trade off. GL!

With all bolt on's I believe I seen a guy make 322 whp so that's about 380 to 390 at the crank. Our G are every not mod friendly, highly due to the fact that our cars don't come boosted of any sort.

If you want to risk reliability for performance get either twin turbo or a super charger kit for you're car you can make 450 to 600 hp easy depending on which setup you get.
