Brakes are not sport though. I'm actually getting the. Done right now and I can 100% confirm that. So if my car was part of some shady stuff I wasn't aware of what's the COA? Continue looking into it or just "accept" that infiniti made a mistake? I got it from a private seller so that limits some options.

Still, I wouldn't take that as the end-all, the more evidence we have, the more we can help you out. Take a picture of your brakes and put a tape measure to the rotors. I assume your interior trim is the aluminum?
EDIT: Are the regular seats perforated?

Interior is aluminum. Perforated? You mean with the tiny holes? Yes.

That's possible. Or the car was wrecked and refitted with base parts. But the history is clean of that. But there was never an S badge on it or paddles. Which makes no sense.

Either there was a mistake or that VIN does NOT go to your car. if thats the case, it was done to cover something up (either stolen or in an accident).
I'm not sure what you should do...maybe mention it to a knowledgeable dealer rep (easier said than done) LOL.
Im not sure how that affects insurance but it will def affect your ability to resell it down the road.

Looks we we got a mystery on our hands, gang. To the Mystery Machine!
Is your Carfax clean (I think I missed this part, if you mentioned it)? Run an Autocheck if you have the means, sometimes it shows more than what Carfax does. Just out of curiousity, how much did you pay for the car?

Oh yeah, is it an AT or MT? I believe vin only shows MTs as sports and any AT sports show up as "Journey w/ Sport" doing a vin check, that's how my AT Sport shows up.
Does the vin say Journey w/sport or Just g37 Sport

Here's a minor thing to check. Do the pedals have the aluminum/metal accents or are they straight up black?

The Sport is more expensive to replace wheels, brakes, seats, etc. It is also probably more prone to car smash ups/collisions from the younger crowd of kids driving them I assume.
