LOL. Yeah that's pretty ridiculous for ONLY the Axelback. I have to assume that there is something specific about the internals in the muffler of the Tanabe that makes it sound so good (and it does sound REALLY good) because it LOOKS just like something like this:

Infiniti G37 Coupe 08-11 Axleback Exhaust System Systems With Bevel Edge Tips | eBay

This one sounds close to stock though. You have to be careful. If someone has a video, they need to play the stock sound vs their product's sound. Another video I saw of this exhaust sounded great...only...it was clearly the INTAKE that you could hear.

But if you are going close to $900, you may as well go catback.

The reason why it LOOKS LIKE tanabe is they are tanabe knock-off

I have the Megan Racing drift spec on my Z and its louder than what I would want on G. I do love the sound and I am happy with it even though I was told not to get it.......lol
There is another Megan Racing exhaust that is not the drift spec and I REALLY did not like the sound of it. I hate raspy sounding exhaust systems. It's even louder then the drift spec. Youtube has some sound clips on both if you search.

Note that I am in my late 40's so I like some rumble but I don't like attention being drawn to me.

Im probably half your age but I still agree with you, bro! I don't like rasp. I like the exhaust to be as low as possible. Its the rasp concept that has made me hold off of test pipes as well.
