Buy the car for yourself not resale. The CPO won't matter to the buyer in 3-4 years assuming you intend to keep the car that long since it only applies to you now as the buyer.

I believe $32k sounds high for the year. When I was looking to purchase a CPO '08 the dealership explained that the certification cost was around $700 or $900 to tag it CPO? Anyone validate that?

But congrats on your G!

congrats on getting the car. hope you got them down a little.

It's really hard to compare cars sometimes just by price and year alone. You have to drive the car, examine it closely, and judge it from there and if it's worth it to you. I wanted a car with low miles over low price. I also wanted to buy it from a Dealer to establish a relationship with them. Yes, I may have paid a little bit more but when something goes wrong, they don't hesitate to make it right.

BTW, The dealer told me that it was around 800 to Certify the car.

Wyldfyer, That dealership has more G37's than any lot I've ever come across. Pricing looks good on most of them. I didn't find one just like I purchased but it seems that the price I paid is in line with this dealership.

Looks like 2008's are all coming off lease.

YESSIR! They also said that the Nissan Dealership joked with them about having more G37's than the Nissan dealer, LOL.

Congrats! That's a nice ride.

So, how much did you end up paying?

I got my '08 G37 Journey in IP color, with NAV/premium package and 20,400 miles on the clock for $22,988 back in Dec 11. The car is in mint condition.

I wanted the S model, but those I could find got at least 35-40K miles on them and went for much more ($27K and up).

not a bad price but a little high, but it is the fully loaded model and its from a infiniti dealer. my problem is that its red, although i love red, i dont it on the G37 or any infiniti for that matter. Here in Toronto where i live the red ones are the cheapest. Yes they are rare, but thats because nobody wants them. most popular color north of the border go in this order, white, black, graphite, silver then the blue and red. Based on the color this car should be harder to sell which should make it easier for you to get a better deal.

$31,0000.00 OTD. For 18K miles, and pristine/new condition. It seems to be very fair.

I've seen like 1 red G37 in the last 3 years in Oregon, lol. See more 1st gen 35s though.

Mtrsprt, again grats. Stop listening to what these people think about your deal.

If you're happy, that's all that really counts.

Except for the fact that he created this thread to ask people their opinions.

Of course everyone's always welcome to disregard opinions if they don't like them, find them uninformed, or just plain disagree with them but if that's the case then why post a thread to ask??? That's kind of like people who post photos of their new mod that are horrible, ask people what they think about them, then get their feelings hurt when people tell them it's horrible after they asked.

Sorry, didnt mean to jack the thread with a commercial, LOL.

I went with a black 6MT tho...
I have heard a lot of bad things about this dealer. Maybe they have cleaned up their act, but I would stay far away from them.

I was just saying disregard them since he already decided to buy it, though before that point I agree with this sentiment.

Speaking of horrible mods, can we get that G37 with the red clown nose and other red trim out of the rotation up there? It makes me sad when I see it.

Price doesn't seem terrible if the CPO ($900) is included in the price of the car. $31,000 would be fair. I bet you they bought it for around 27.5 in that shape. I mean that car would sell at $32.5 no doubt about it, it just needs the right buyer. An educated consumer like yourself could maybe squeeze 30,000-31,000.

Gotcha. Its certainly not the worst deal anyone has gotten, but far, far from a great deal. Anyway, as long as the OP is happy with his car and what he's paying, that's what matters.

As far as what photos are in the rotation at the top of the page, I agree with you 100% but that is not my call. The Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer G is particularly heinous IMO too, but I'm sure that plenty of members have complimented it for being "different". If I were in charge of that it would be vastly different. More variety, less crappy cars/photos. But as I said, it isn't anything that I have input on.

So there's is a few people who do not like Vibrant Red. OB would have been my first choice yes, but after seeing the VR in person, I liked it much better than before.

I think you missed to point. VR is definitely a hot color on the G. The car being referred to isn't VR, it's a BO that has some hideous red accents. You'll know it if you see it.

EDIT: this is he car he was talking about I believe.
