Gas doesn't fill sometimes?

Not sure if anyone else has this issue but when I go to the gas station, sometimes the gas will stop filling and click as if it was full. This happened to me a few times, both times the car was nowhere near full, it was near empty.
The issur occurs at more than 1 gas pump. Sometimes it takes anywhere between 30 and 40 tried to get it to start filling. I have the 08 Coupe.

happened only once here, but they said the vapors from the gas triggered the overfill switch. i just held the nozzle a bit further out and it filled no problem. and +1 for rockland, nice to know there's someone else out there lol

Wow finally a rockland member lol we should try to get a meet around here sometime. What city are you in?

Anyways, I tried shoving the nozzle in as far as I could and still a no go, pulled it out more, still nothing, tried pushing it in at all different increments and angles, still wouldn't work, I gave up and went back another day.

Happens all the time to me when getting gas at Costco. Some pumps more than others.

Kind of annoying.

Turn the handle/nozzle upside down. This used to happen to me on my Genesis Coupe. This fixed it every time.

I've had this problem in the past too, I saw these threads so I knew it was a common problem.

https://www.myg37.com/forums/engine-...-pump-gas.html

https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-cou...lling-gas.html

https://www.myg37.com/forums/general...stance-fd.html

There's been many other threads about it too, but I can't find them all right now (not being sarcastic at all)

I've had the same problem, at more than one pump. Thought it was just the pump but it wasn't. I haven't found a fix for it, but I'll consider holding it upside down next time.

Well with mine my needle is off. I would fill up to 17 gallons and I know for a fact it should be on full but its one notch below it. It doesn't really bother me anymore cause for some strange reason when I start driving it would needle would be at the full mark.
