Parting with my 2010 g37s
Well it looks like I'm going to be getting rid of my lease early. Mostly because the commute to my new job is much longer (60mi round trip daily) and the lease is only 10k mi/yr. My monthly payments are pretty low (375/mo) so I imagine I shouldn't have much trouble getting rid of my g37. I have not bought anything yet, but I drove a new sti, golf r, and gti so far. I'm pretty much sold on the gti due to it being pretty cheap to buy and will make for a decent dd for a while. Another reason why I wanted to 'downgrade' was to save money on gas costs as well as have an easier to drive car on **** roads and constant stop-n-go traffic. And honestly i just felt that the g37 is too nice of a car to be driving such ****ty commutes every day.
Anyway the reason I'm posting this is to get some input from other people who may have moved on to other cars regarding what features they missed from the G. Off the top of my head, I know I'll lose power seats and rearview backup camera/sonar. Anyone else?

That sucks man..but you gotta do what you gotta do.
You won't necessarily lose features like power seats, rearview backup camera, etc... as you can get these options in the other vehicle you purchase. Just depends how much you're going to spend on your new daily driver.

Well tis official, I'll be picking up my 2012 tornado red vw golf gti 2dr with sunroof/nav on monday. Looks like I'll be losing the following: backup camera, push to start, power seats, leather, rwd, and about 600 lbs. Anyone else think of anythin off the top of their head?

And I may have some parts f/s soon, depending if the person who is currently interested in the lease takeover wants em or not. (Stance coilovers, adjustable f/r control arms, forgestar wheels, snow tires, GTR start button).

Holy hell! Why would you buy a G! Your car is going to be worthless in a year or so...Crazy. Go buy a $1000 beater man. I hear ya on the miles, thats why leases are so worrisome. I barley make my 16.5k, but my company pays for it. Dude the Golf .:R is pretty sweet. AWD, Decent power, good looks...go for that. Plus you will save a ton on gas. Definitely not a G but a cool car.

Someone pointed out earlier that we buy our G37s to drive em. I definitely agree, but I shot myself in the foot with a 10k lease. Wasn't entirely my fault as my previous job was 3 miles from my house.
