I never get tailgated or deal with jackass crazy drivers when I'm in my G37, different story when I'm in my Ferrari though.

This. I haven't had any issues with my G. I did get a couple people who wanted to race my 335i e92. One memorable guy was me driving down an empty freeway around 9pm doing about 70mph. I see this car coming up quick in my rear view who just happens to match my speed once he gets next to me. After ignoring him for about 5 minutes, he darts off. In my head I just thought "ugh.. another one of those G37 guys."

Its gotta be the location. I don't ever recall getting taunted by others in Houston but every time I visit my folks in a smaller city where there's not a lot of Infiniti's, BMWs, or Lexus, I always get the looks and "race me" pose from teenagers to guys in their 40's. Usually civics and mustangs that I've encountered once or twice already.

I think these people are intimidated by the looks of our cars since they rarely get to see it.

I live in Oregon and people tends to stay away from me for some reason, even when I go extremely slow, they still won't tailgate me, so it must be location.
But Mustang drivers always try to race me tho, don't know what it is about them...

Your car is too cool for your own good, I think you should sell it and buy a prius hahaha....
Remember HATERS ARE GONA HATE !!!

On the real note. Is that a red stripe on the side of your car ??? if so I think I know why people want to race you.

Great topic. As far as the incidents stated by many on here...where do you all live???? I live a tad north of Miami in Florida, and my car is a dime a dozen over here. In fact, I'd go as far and say my car is actually on the lower end $$ wise then 1/2 of the cars I see driving around my area. Maybe that is because it's Miami?? Not sure.

But I see Lambo's, AMG's, BMW's, and Audi's like it's nobody's business here, maybe that explains why the situations you all speak of may not apply to me. In fact I saw the actor Tyrese pull up in a lambo next to me at a light last week with a blond bombshell in the passenger seat. He gave me a look and I said "Waddup Tyrese" with my windows down. He nodded, said waddup, and smoked by me on green. That's the extent of "road rage" I get..lol Not trying to knock where anyone lives, but I find it hard to believe people will just roll up next to you and yell bleep you or bleep that car, or bleep your kids...just doesn't make sense.

As far as somebody "spitting" on my car. If I ever saw somebody do that it would be game over. I would step out of my car for an incident like that. That's blatant disrespect. I really think it could be a matter of your driving habits and possibly that red stripe...man that red stripe could be the culprit. Just my .02.

I think everyone is completely reading too much into this...paranoid that others are jealous of people in G37's. The G37 is an entry level luxury car, it's not like drive a Bentley.
Sure I love my G, but I certainly don't think people are out to get me because they are jealous of what I drive.
Most likely it's just bad driving by people everywhere...I see it around me when I'm driving my G, my wife's Rav4, my 83 K5 Blazer, or my son's Subaru.
There's no need to perceive that anyone is out to get you...people just really suck at driving these days.

I agree, people really do suck at driving... Two weeks ago some school bus almost t-boned me. I'm currently in the process of getting the @$$bag fired as not only did he put me in danger, but also the kids on the bus. Also, people really need to check their blind spots more. They almost change lanes into me and I honk, then they get all pissed.

Maybe its because your car is so hot people just want to see it? That's my explanation for people tailgating me anyway...

I would like to think that I'm not doing anything wrong driving in the middle lane @75mph minding my own business, just to notice someone riding my azz when there's no on else around me on the highway and they could easily pass me on either side...but don't.

I try to be courteous on the road, let people go ahead of me, etc. occasionally there's someone in my blind spot and I accidentally cut t hem off. I roll down my window when they pass and wave to say sorry. I can honestly say I don't drive like an "azzhat"

People may not be jealous, or they may be...I don't really care. People will be people, and some people are just *******s. Nothing I can do to change it anywheres nothing anyone else can do. Life is too short to be pissed off all the time.
