Cool IPL Logo Floor Mats - Fact of Fiction?

I just purchased a pre-owned 2011 G37 IPL coupe. The car only has about 6,000 miles on it and looks essentially brand new.

In Infiniti USA's website it states in Specs and Options - Interior Features section that the IPL comes with "Front and rear carpeted floor mats with IPL Logo".

Now this may sound petty, but my car came with carpeted mats with only the G37 logo. When I inquired at the dealer where I purchased the car, they told me after they allegedly had done some research with their parts department, that there are no specific car mats for the IPL. In fact, they claim that I was the first customer to ever inquire about their availability.

Does anyone out there know if Infiniti does indeed offer these as an accessory or is this something they planned but then abandoned after the car went into production?

Any information would be helpful.

Thanks in advance

I just bought a '11 IPL with 2100 miles. I think I got a great deal. paid 39k. out of curiosity, what did you pay?
Mines grey with black leather. really wanted blackish ext with red leather but it was not meant to be. I don't have the ipl carpet mats either. just the standard g37 mats. I am loving the car

You did better than me! I paid 41K before my trade. They gave me 12K on my 2007 G35S Sedan. Still an awesome deal compared to a new 2012!

The IPL is an awesome car - it is probably the nicest car I have ever owned - and I thought my G35S was great!

Cool

Frankly, I don't think the IPL mats exist - at least not anymore. Perhaps they were offered initially, but due to the limited production of the IPL, maybe Infiniti felt it wasn't worth the effort or the cost? Just a theory!

The strange thing is that the Dealer claims that the IPL never had them. But yet they are referenced in a variety of literature online, including a press release on the new 2013 IPL Convertible.

If they truly are not available, they should at least update their web site.

Regards,

i have the premium matts and love them, they are much heavier and more padded than the regular mats, worth every penny. I picked them up for about $150 for a front and rear set new on ebay from a dealer.
