2012 IPL, worth it?

Do some shopping, you can get a brand new IPL for the same cost as a Sport if you do your home work. I got mine for 46k with 1,200 miles. I saw where someone got one for 39k with ~2.5K miles. The one thing that was brought up is if you want to mod your car an IPL is NOT for you. I'll never understand why someone buys an IPL and changes the suspension, the exhaust etc. These are things that make an IPL what it is. An IPL has a true dual exhaust. It has a nice mellow sound to it. An IPL has 20% stiffer springs in the front an 10% stiffer in the rear over a sport. Then you get the red leather which I love. There are more features but these are the one that really make an IPL different. What it comes down to is what you want. If you go by people on this forum IPLs suck and are not worth it. Remember you are dealing with younger people that modify their cars. I will tell you, I have not seen any reason to modify my IPL. It is a great car like it is. I have modded my Z though so you can see I am not against changing up a car when I feel its needed.
And by the way, a fully loaded G37S gets pretty close to 50K. So I am not sure why so many of you are saying 52K is way too much for a new IPL. Keep in mind the IPL is not that easy to get. Do a search on the Internet, and see how many are avaialble in your area. I live in Northern California, and other than the one I purchased (mine is used), there was only one other available in a 100 mile radius. Also, have you priced a comparably equipped 3-Series, Audi A5, or S4 for lately?

I completely agree with Tazicon. I just picked up a 2011 IPL in Malbec Black with the Monaco Red interior for 41K before my trade (I traded in my 2007 G35S sedan for the IPL). The car is mint with only 6,000 miles. I have had this car for a week now and it totally kicks a$$. Bottom line, it's all about what you want. If you want to get a car and 'mod the heck' out of it, then the IPL is definitely not for you.

I purchased my new Malbec Black IPL for $45k at the end of September. If you have a price in mind that you want to pay and the dealer balks at your offer, move on.
Let me ask this question to those of you who wouldn't pay 52k........Would you pay 45k?
I LOVE this car and think it's a great deal for what you get.

You see!!!! Now that IPL purchase was more then worth it. Great purchase man! Whoever pays over 50 is just insane. Also paying over 45 for a fully loaded G37S is also a bit too much IMHO.

With an MSRP of $52k, how do I get them to sell it for $45k?
I guess my question was answered even though I improperly asked it.
Understanding the value is there at 45k it makes me more comfortable at that price.
Thank you all.
Any opinions on the CTS coupe, or Audi S5?

Not sure where you got 49k for sport
2012 Infiniti G Coupe G37 Sport Price With Options
There I added all the options for a 6mt sport 2012 brand new and you can get it for about 43k even lower if you are good at talking.

I always wondered.. how do you guys get the car 7,000$ cheaper than the msrp? out of all the cars I got, max was around 3,000. Also, what do you considered "fully loaded" Just Navi and S? That's not fully loaded.. btw.. I had my car in for a routine oil change and every single G there was 43,000-47,000$ (from base model to x and S)..

For example here in DFW we have a dealership called Sewell Infiniti and Infiniti noted them as a top tier dealer meaning they get very low cost in bringing a vehicle. That's why we always advise to see if you go below invoice pricing.
If you do you're research before buying a car you should gain a lot of knowledge.
I got my car back in 08 for invoice pricing and got the extended warranty for free. So everything is covered from tires, intakes (not anymore), oil changes. A lot of dealers will offer a lot of special deals.
