Fix for seatbelt on neck?

Hi,

I'm about to buy a 2012 G37S and love almost everything about the car, but I have a big problem with the seatbelt sitting on my neck. I can lower the arm temporarily, but as soon as I raise my arm to put my hand on the top of the seering wheel it creeps back up again. I am not that short (5'8), so I am surprised to have this problem. Even raising the seat doesn't help that much.

Has anyone encountered this problem and fixed it in a safe way?

Thanks!

i just slid my seatbelt thingy all the way down and put the arm up. it's not that bad and you'll get used to it.

a fix that you can buy? aftermarket racing seat? 5 points? idk......

I usually just lower the arm also, but it stays there even when i raise my arm to grab the steering wheel.

i'm 5"8 also and have the same problem. I had a 350z and a G35 and both gave me the same problem and now the g37. I've been wearing a sweater/hoodie since it's been cold lately which solves the problem, but once summer comes, i'll be back to wearing t-shirts and the problem will be back.

Gave up on it like you quit wearing the belt or you gave up on fixing it? Did you try anything to fix it? I just ordered a few seatbelt clips and will see how they do...

How much does it annoy you? I'm trying to decide if this is a dealbreaker for the car... :-/

Do you mean something like this? http://www.amazon.com/Sheepskin-Seat.../dp/B000CAINRK

Wouldn't that still leave a safety issue? It would annoy you less around the neck, but I can't imagine having the belt against your neck is good in a serious accident.

I just ordered a few clips to see if one can get the seatbelt to stay in the right position. I ordered:

Amazon.com: Masterlink Seatbelt Adjuster TM Double Pack - Masterlink 296-OS: Electronics

Amazon.com: Dorman HELP! 74325 Seatbelt Clip Retainer: Automotive

and

Amazon.com: Heininger 1027 CommuteMate Seat Belt Strap Adjuster: Automotive

I really don't think this is a safety issue. Comfort issue yes.
