Top Secret/AIT Front Bumper Question!

I want the AIT front bumper because I know it's extremely hard to get the Top Secret here in the US. I've heard that the AIT bumper is hard to put on and takes a lot a work, also that it may crack because it's fiberglass. I was just wondering if anyone knew anymore information or could post a review about the bumper. Thanks guys!

The AIT bumper does take a lot of work to get the fitment just right. I never had a problem cracking the bumper, and I was pretty low.

The other alternative is to go into the vendor section under exterior/interior and check out the Baus Auto Z-style front bumper. Its a replica of the Zele body kit. I just had mine installed yesterday. The guys at the body shop told me that it was on of the best aftermarket front ends that they've attached. Virtually no gapping and it went on with only a couple of minor issues. Not to mention that its way hotter than the AIT front end. ;-)

^sure, if you think $1,300 is reasonable for the body kit. Personally, I don't. It's as simple as that.

@BL1024 I will have pics up as soon as she comes out of the shop tomorrow. They let me see the fitment before they sent her in to paint so that I could give it my good graces. But they still had to sand it, fill the license plate bracket holes, prime it and then apply the tri-stage paint. They wanted to take their time to do a good job, as per my wishes. She'll be ready for pick up tomorrow between 4 and 5 EST. So I got the assembly, got it shipped, painted and mounted for $800. And its every bit as pretty as the JDM assembly. :-)

^ Paint should only be about $100 for the front so you're saying it took them an additional $200 and some change to fix areas? You got it for around $450 shipped correct ?

Yep, and it also needed to be fitted, filled, sanded, primed, sanded again, grill fitted and finally mounted.

Did you pay $450 shipped for the front bumper + $800 to get it painted and installed? or $800 for everything?

Thank you for the reply Jade. I understand & understand your price difference logically. But seriously you paid too much for that bumper if it "still" needed all that work. I'm not bashing you at all my man just saying that kit is far from "perfect" as it was advertised by the vendor. Same quality as the AIT, pretty much. Enjoy your piece.
