Is it just me or is everyone stupid?

So I know you have to press the button to unlock the car. I pressed it and it unlocks the side where you press the button. Then I tested the passenger side, same thing. Whenever someone tries to get in the car I tell them press the button to unlock. For whatever reason nobody can figure out how to unlock the car. I constantly say press the button and they go "I pressed it, I'm pressing it" etc etc. I go on their side, press the button and it opens. My parents didn't figure it out, brother, and friends couldn't figure it out. Is it really that hard? Any of you guys going through this?

Edit:

Yes, you can b/c you're "holding" the key. You should just press the button twice to unlock all doors.

Ah I figured it was something like that, haven't had much time to play with the car since she just got back home last night and I went to sleep since I was awake for over 48 hours at that point. I'll do some experimenting with it later on

LMAO @ Epic fail...

You should feel terrible for calling everyone stupid.

Seriously though. You can alter the setting through the in-dash menu by going to the comfort settings and making all doors unlock when you press the button.

Hahahaha, rookie mistake, just playing, but really...

I was dumb enough to pack my extra key fob in my backpack and throw it in my trunk a few months ago and didn't realize why my trunk wouldn't close. Took me a little while to get it and then I called myself a dummy.

Lol! I didn't really mean to call anyone stupid, it was just as a joke :P. But it was pretty frustrating how I press the button, my side unlocks and then they ask how to open it. I tell them to press the button and they're like "its not working" and I walk over there, press the button and it works fine -_-.

Watch out for the auto lock feature. If you press the keyfob once only for the drivers door and don't press it a second time for all doors the drivers door will auto lock after a certain time. maybe 60 seconds or so, can't remember exactly. It'sa "safety" feature if you unlock your door by accident (and walk away for example) and forget to lock it.

To the OP... If you read the owner's manual, you'll discover a bunch of other nifty features.... Such as how to open your trunk through the back seat (in the event the car battery dies or the solenoid fails).
