Does Gcoupe Steering wheel auto tilt

Had a loaner a couple days ago getting warranty work done and noticed that the loaner's steering wheel would tilt up when I opened the door. It was a G25x 2011.

Is my 08 coupe supposed to do this cause I'm manually having to do it every time I get out? Had this ride for a month thats why I'm sounding noobish...

No. It auto adjusts to what ever setting you input in your key fob memory when unlocking the doors, but the coupe does not have the auto exit function. If you are the only driver, you can program seat position 2 to adjust the seat steering wheel however you'd like and use that to exit the car and seat position 1 for driving settings. But the coupes have no auto exit adjustment function.

For me being a tall guy, well relatively at 6' it was great and kind of one of those "your car does that?" type features.

Hey BB could you please tell me how to program via key fob, sounds like you'd end up with a similar feature? I do have #2 preset set to let me out with the wheel up and seat back but I usually turn off the engine before I get a chance to press it. Just habit i guess.

Safety reasons. You don't want to crush the legs of the unsuspecting passenger behind you and then have him sue Nissan for it.

No but seriously, that's why the coupe doesn't do that.

What is the actual point of this steering wheel tilt thing? Not trying to insult anyone here but the only use that I can see for this, is if you are massively overweight?

The steering wheel rasing and the seat sliding back is primarily designed for ease of entry and exit. I loved it on my 08 G35S sedan, and do miss it on here.

Altho occasionally I'd pinch the toes of my back seat passengers if I opened the door before they had started to get out. heh heh

I guess your not tall? Mainly tall people and also fat people need it but if your over 6'2" you might have troubles getting in and out especially if your car is lowered.

+1, I am a touch over 6'2" and I wish I had the feature, mainly the steering wheel tilt as the seat is already slid back all the way. I just tilt it up manually right now before I get out. I don't think engineers think of the people over 6 feet when they design coupes And I am one of the shorter guys in my family, but they drive big body sedans

Im 6ft so I guess I'm lucky. Remember that this is a Japanese car though, not too many 6ft plus japanese guys around, so I guess that explains it. The guages in my old series 8 mazda rx7 pointed at my neck and the top of the steering wheel would block large parts of the speedo. That was a japanese import as well.

Not to be an a-hole or anything but let's keep ignorance out of this forum please.

I'm 5'8" 170lbs and I wish I had it too. It's just easier to get in/out, especially in the garage or parking lot where it's tight. I don't like having to be a human tetromino and do the Tetris slidey move to get into my car each time. But hey, I've done worse.
