You should be able to get the steering wheel replaced for free, there is likely a gap in the dash just above the left buttons along the left side of the instrument cluster and they will replace that for free, and maybe interior door handles replaced for free if they are not in good shape (scratch easy). With only 18k, you have a chance to get the leather seat replaced because they normally look work out. I have 50 k and they are just gonna say wear and tear although some have had luck earlier in miles (you would have to fight hard for this as the regional manager has to approve it - the service guy will say no to the seat and u have to press the issue.
I just bought mine with 50k miles (non-sport) no nav - no heated seats - good exterior -with sunroof and new tires for $22k. If you are looking at one with 18k miles, 26k is a good price.
I cannot speak on reliability except that I bought this because my A4 was too costly to maintain and unreliable. All the indicators say it will be very reliable.
Good luck. Love mine. I haven't been so happy driving in a long time. The gas mileage is 19 average though. My A4 was 22 average. Not bad but I will save the difference in breakdowns and I am much happier driving because it is a beast. it really is.

Dude I worked for it. Friday was the 3 hour haggle session then I walked out when they didnt want to meet my "low ball" offer, they called me the next day with an offer of 25K otd and I drove back from L.A. where I was staying with a buddy and picked her up that morning.
