worst case scenario, wheel bent, wheel bearing and control arm damage. If you hit the median pretty hard then you got to get a new wheel. If you're lucky, you could get it straighten out at a wheel shop. If the drone is going on with the spare, most likely is the wheel bearing and control arm damage. Around $300 from what I look at from orderinfinitiparts. Good luck and hope it isn't serious!

hey guys just an update as I dropped her off last night and got the call this morning. I really lucked out:

- new tire 260
- wheel straighten although he offered to move it to the rear right as I wouldn't feel it there not sure why not but it must not be bent too bad. I said I'll pay and just to get it straightened 150
- alignment 100 optional again but I went for it (although I wish this was the first year of ownership as Infiniti offers a free alighnemnt)
- no other damage except for the cosmetic plastic engine cover

I opted to get all the repairs done because the feel of the car on the road is one of it's best attributes and I didn't want to give that up. i figure 500 for a stupid mistake is money well spent and my car should feel brand new again. Well worth it imho. Thanks for the support guys.

on another note I have a 2010 x sedan loaner and I have to say I like the interior of the 09's and 08's better. They also had an IPL which def was very sweet looking but not worth the cost. I wish SPORT was offered in 09, that is my only gripe but I have a sport front bumper on mine. BRAKES is what I miss the most from my G37S 08.

also the drone I was hearing is from the spare tire since they said nothing else was damaged. The spare is very loud, especially when slowing down to about 5mph and the service associate also told me the shimmy I felt as I was driving to drop it off is because the spare isn't really supposed to be driven above 55 mph. Just thought it might help anyone else who has a similar experience as me

Glad to hear it wasn't that bad. Isn't that a bad feeling not knowing how much damage.

Thanks for the useful info. I was anxious after running over a small median today, car looked fine when I swept the bottom of the car in terms of body, underbody, etc. it drove fine without an alignment issue. Going to get it checked out soon.

Hey brother, at least you're okay. Still sorry to hear. Make sure all your body panels are in line and not crooked or anything like that. Check your steering wheel when driving for any shimmy or shaking. How far did you get over the curb? Did you clear it completely? If you're still hearing drone or anything check your exhaust and make sure there's no dents or holes. Good luck man

Thanks. Cleared it completely, it's about 3-4" high, kinda a small chunk sitting in the middle of the street. I normally avoid it, was kinda rushing because my friend had to get to some society dinner.

Hopefully when I bring it in to get some other work done, they can check the exhaust, seems to be the lowest hanging part of the car.
