Exhaust alignment

i noticed this on my G a month back... the left exhaust tip is lower than the right side (see pic)... i showed this to my dealer and he said that they needed to take a closer look.
have any of you seen or had a similar problem before? the dealer said that there was some rusting/damage hope its not serious... are things like this covered under warranty?

There are a lot of threads on this topic. It is a design flaw. Most have the same problem as you. I think I remember a few people saying the dealer replaced their exhaust, but came out with the same result.

doesn't affect performance, just a eye sore once you notice.

Correct sir. I had mine replaced for the "exhaust rattle" that a bunch of people have experienced. After, my exhaust is a bit lower on the right side... No biggy.

I had the same issue and finally took it to the dealer a week ago and had them look at it. The dealership had already replaced my exhaust once due to the infamous rattle issue and was not going to replace it a 3rd time simply due to a design flaw. They put the car on the lift and bent one of the exhaust mounts (with my permission) and it fixed the issue.

I was going to say, isn't this something that can easily be adjusted by bending the offending tip. On my old camaro, the tips were secured with a sort of clamp - loosen clamp, readjust, tighten, done deal. Not sure if this is applicable to the G however.

There's books where the exhaust hangs in the frame. You can bend them like the earlier post. Easy fix. Or just get a new exhaust
