Every insurance company will make money. It's like a casino. Your rates are based on the value of your vehicle (or house, or whatever it is that you're insuring), the likelyhood that it will be damaged, and how much it costs to repair it once it is damaged. It's not magic, it's statistics.
Insurance companies are just like every other company in the world. They exist to make money and those that don't fail and go out of business. They're not evil, they're just businesses. If you think they're evil, just cancel all of your insurance. If you run into me, I'll be fine, I'm well insured. I'll sue your sorry butt, and have half of your paycheck for the rest of your life, but I'll be fine. Can you afford to not have insurance?
My insurance company is wonderful. I've had to make a few claims, and they were always right there ready to fix everything. Some insurance companies have idiots working for them, and some are good. I can't afford to have the crappy ones.

Its like a casino, wow that is the worst comparison
A casino is games of chance, with the house winning more of your money than tje other way around.
Insurance is based on many factors,based on age ,driving history, type of vehicle etc.
now as far as a business, insurance companies make millions in denying valid claims,because they can you need a lawyer just to be paid fairly.
Was in litagation for almost 3yrs after needing spinal fusion from getting hit from the back at high speed by drunk driver.
so if ever you are hurt from someone elses lack of caution, dont say you were not warned.
almost lost my home/cars etc from thos calamity.
Could not work for 6 months, yet carrier just denied all day
yet the other driver was determined 100%
For all you who never got injured bad from a wreck, hope you are never in that position.
also had a $1,000,000.00 wrap around, yet I had to go the lawyer route because of the **** they pulled. This was my own carrier, not the jo drunk who hit me.
