Weird engine noise on my g37

So this have been an on going occurrence with my g37. Here a clip of what the noise sounds like.

This only happen if I've been drivin my car for couple of miles. Sometime anything less it much quieter. So you guys think it should be looked at or is it normal?

your link doesn't work.

What type of gas and oil do you use? I think I read somewhere on this site that if you don't use premium gas, or don't use ester oil, you can get knocking/pinging sounds coming from your engine.

anybody can correct me if i'm wrong.

Vvel knocking - been around for a while. The dealership should be very aware of this issue and the tsb that goes with it. Bad thing is you will now have to start using synthetic oil which can be costly.

That noise is exactly what I experienced on my 08 coupe in the first year of ownership. Take it to the dealer and let them know you have the vvel knock and you want the tsb performed. I don't knOw what oil they are using - there are different grades. I switched oils frOm What the dealer provides to something I prefer and get better results beyond this noise.

It's covered in the TSB that for the VVEL Bank 2 actuator noise they will do an oil change with ester oil and ECU program on the first trip. Subsequent oil changes with ester will be charged.

I've been using Mobile 1 synthetic in mine and it just started doing it. Apparently it's not going to harm the engine, but it sure sounds like crap.

I'll be interested to know what Beaverton Infiniti does for you. Please keep us updated.
