Show me your black suede headliner!! I hate the tan....

I've had two G's with the tan headliner and black interior, since 2004. So I don't even notice it anymore... No idea why they didn't use gray with the black leather. At least it would be a better match.
BMW and others do the same stupid thing. I saw a RED leather bmw with aluminum trim pieces, and a gray headliner and it looked terrible. They are finally starting to offer an option for black headliner if you buy an expensive package of course.
It looks like a lot of work.... Good luck!

Our FX35 has a black headliner, although I used to work at a trim shop and a LOT of cars with black interiors have the greyish headliners, honda, sabb, bmw, you name it, i'm sure there is a desiner reason somewhere.
My old Pontiac G8 had a black headliner and it did make it feel a littler more confined than it was, and it was way bigger than the G.

The reason as to why almost 90% of all car manufacturers make their headliners tan, is because of pure illusion. Walk inside a white room, and it looks vast, and spacious. Now walk into the SAME size room, but all the walls are black, it causes a massive illusion of confining space, claustrophobia, and tightness. Im sure Nissan would love to keep it JDM and offer the better look, but for the general population, black headliner would make them delusional and make them think the interior is small.

ya my buddy has a 335i M line bmw and it comes with all black on the ceilings and stuff... so much prettier compared to anything else!!! specially black interior lol
i have a W215 CL mercedes and i actually had it painted black. Came out pretty good... i did it to cover some cigaret burns and to see how it would come out. Risky but it worked i ended up having to replace the rear view mirror because it got stained in one of the corners and i didnt noticed untill like a month later but its nice now

How about some photos folks??? I've been on the fence for awhile about doing a dark grey colored alcantara headliner (with red diamond stitch pattern), but am concerned with the tan plastic (both how it would look against the dark on the one hand, and painting it all on the other (chipping, etc)).
I've got the red leather interior and am now thinking about a red headliner (leaving the tan plastic as is). So, yeah....photos please??!!
