Anyone know of a good way to remove the center console to place a mute button for my Escort radar in the blank button between heated seats?

I have been trying to figure this out for days without removing the entire dash.

1. Remove the lower piece from the center dash (piece just above cigarette lighter/change holder area) by using a flat head head (or thin metal device) to pry it back...its only held on by clips and it will pop off. Pry from the side near the leather bolster. (i used a knife)
2. Remove shift **** and place shifter in neutral to allow for shift boot and center console to slide back and up.
3. Pull center console up and back to remove. may need to pop up back section by prying up lip by cup holders.

I just installed my new shift boot and this was the process to remove the center console. Hope it helps!
