I havnt done it but fair warning, like 95% of body shops don't have a plastic welder, which is needed to do it right.

In addition to plastic welding and fiber-glassing on, a body shop could use a 2 component liquid urethane adhesive like Duramix or an epoxy like Lord Fusor with the same result and every body shop has a product like this for repairing urethane bumpers and adhering roof and quarter panels on.

LORD Corporation - Fusor® 127EZ Plastic Bonding Adhesive (Slow)

I see you explained that most shops cannot do/do not have the necessary equipment. However, are they any shops around Broward and Dade area that do? If so, how much does it usually cost? Of course i dont expect the exact number, but an idea would be helpful. Thank you

I'm curious about the approximate cost as well, including repainting the bumper.

I'm not sure about price but I can tell you its an average $300 bucks to paint a lip. Then you need to paint front cap too so that's around$500-600 done right. The real work is not in adhering polyurethane to polyurethane but molding the joined lines by adding a sand-able polyurethane flexible filler. The work is in sanding and molding it. I would estimate $1,000-$1,300 done right. In Miami good luck. I'd think Broward has more shop for this procedure. Whatever you do make sure they do not use BONDO to mold and fill the joined lines. If they do you've ****ed yourself! It will crack and break from heat of sun alone. I think others can chime in on price. Ask Sam or Raul G.

*Note: Another thing a lot of you forget! When you purchase lips in polyurethane they sometimes have high and low spots in some places and if you want your lip or sides to look like its factory and perfectly smooth. You sometimes need a little body work. I did the body work on my JP sides since they had some low spots in areas and the body shop wanted $300 more for body work. I used a 3M product polyurethane filler.. forget the name, which was around $55.00 dollars. I do have body work experience so that's why I did it to save money. Also all polyurethane needs to be cleaned with mineral spirits to get the molding oils out. If a body shop doesn't do this and also doesn't add flex-additive to the paint. You paint will peel flake right off! Make sure you take it to a reputable shop that's has done so.

depends if its Poly or glass. Glass is A LOT easier to adhear. I would say a couple hundred to mold glass....and 500+ to mold poly(which most shops won't even touch in the first place)

Thanks for the input. I could be wrong but i think i mightve seen your car at homestead speedway? If not there is someone else in miami with the Stillen purple covers. Anyways, i will search and make sure what i want my lip to look like. I have seen several over here and they all look great so it will be a tough choice.
