Plasti Dip grille?

Hey all, first post, been bumping around on here while waiting for my G to arrive (2 more weeks!!!) and was curious about something:

I've read a number of threads regarding plasi dipping rear emblems. I'll be de-badging mine as soon as I get it (aside from Mt. Fugi), but was wondering how it holds up when sprayed onto the grille? I've got a midnight black grille coming on the car, but was looking to blackout the chrome strips on the top and bottom as well. Will plasti dip hold up well on the front end?

Thanks in advance for the input.

btw- Love this sight, and all of the rides on it! Have been in an Infiniti since '99 (g37xs will be my 5th), and not looking to change it up anytime soon!! Looking forward to my first coupe..........

What he said!!

Ps. If you really want it all black either trade with someone on here or get the grill professionally paint. Plasti-dip holds up well but it is not a shinny black or gloss black color, it's more like a matte black.

Plasti dipping emblems is fine but DONT do your grille.

1. Plasti dip is matte black and not gloss like the midnight.
2. It attracts lint and dust like crazy.
3. Bad to the touch

I really like the look of it honestly, plus the little trim pieces are a matte black too. But to each their own!

plasti dip holds pretty well. Been through about 10 car washes and still holding strong.

I like the matte black vs glass black contrast but I HATE plasti-dip. Sack up and have it painted properly if you are going to do it.

I agree. But if you have to get rid of the chrome then get it painted professionally because the plastidip wont match the the midnight paint
