G37x coupe to A5?

so test drove it on the weekend. definitely not what i expected, it really lags compared to the g. no doubt the body and style is amazing. really nice and smooth drive, but just lags. really does seem like a downgrade =/

I never drove one so cannot comment. From outside looking in, it is a nice car, with good styling, but the fact performance on A5 is so much less than the G37x would certainly make me think twice. To each has his / her own, and depends what you are looking for. When wife and I were leasing the G last September, we talked about G37, A5, 3 Series (both 328 and 335), but ultimately narrowed down to the G. It had everything we needed for the best value.

not sure if this helps but I own a g37 2011 coupe sport and my brother in law owns a 2010 A5 3.2 and this is what I think of it:
-great looks
-nice handling
-shoddy interior
-terrible power
-very overpriced
-terrible AC
-lousy media system and speakers
I drove his car for a week while he was on holiday last week and he took a test drive in mine when he got back and he's looking to sell his A5 now and buy a G
again not sure if it helps but I find the A5 wholly unsatisfactory when you consider what you get for the price...you're basically paying for the looks.

I'd have to agree with everyone here. Coming from a powerful G, the little mini engine in the A5 will be terrible. It's a heavier car than the G, to begin with, so losing so much ponies will feel like a Civic. If it were an S5, I'd go for it in a heartbeat. But then again, as the A5, the S5 is just as overpriced! 62k+ for a car that's not far away from the amazing G? Ridiculous. I'd certainly go for a reasonably-priced used S5, but no A5 whatsoever.
Don't leave your G, man. You'll regret it later.

Yeah trying to figure this out now. The a5 is out after test driving it. I need some power like the G. I am looking at some used S5's. Other possible options now the 335i xDrive Coupe, c350 coupe. Preferably looking for a AWD coupe. Just looking for a change otherwise might get a new G =). Anybody know if they got plans for an IPL awd?
