If you want the soft ride of the C class, with little interaction with the road, you might as well get a Toyota or Acura for all the (lack of) excitement you will get from the C driving experience.
I like the C class coupe and now they should have an upgraded 3.5L engine (I think its a little over 300 hp vs. old 268).
I would probably wait for a year or two to get all the kinks out before I buy one.
At the end, it will be between A5, C350 Coupe or the new 3 series coupe.

Soft ride? LOL, have you ever driven a C-class with 19" (or larger) factory wheels & tires? The ride is very stiff and nothing that could even remotely be described as soft.
Actually, even Mercedes SUVs suffer from a stiff ride when equipped with big wheels. My brother (who works for MB Corporate) had a new GL with the 22" AMG wheels. Looked great, but rode like crap.

You know my choice simply be reading my signature. The 3-series coupe is nice, but far too common. Thanks to my bro, I can get a C350 Coupe for cost (once they are available), but I still went ahead with the Audi because it is simply beautiful inside and out.
