Rattling Noise

Has anyone had a rattling noise coming from their passenger side. It almost sounds like metal on metal rattling. I've taken my 37 to the dealer and they cannot duplicate the noise. The noise is faint and happens when I'm on the phone or when the radio is turned down and I'm cruising at like 70-80. I need help. The noise is driving me crazy!!!

I dunno if this is it, but the only rattle I get in my car is the sunglasses in the holder above your head or the seat belt arm on the passenger side if it is down and not pulled out. Check those two places first.

No, it's not the sunglass holder, I checked that. It's a rattling metal noise.

I've noticed a rattling noise from the passenger seat when no one is sitting in it. Seems like it might be the head rest or the seat back. Haven't been able to check it out yet.

Try removing your passenger inner door panel and checking to make sure that it's not a loos retaining clip. That's what mine was. I used a little silicone caulk on the plastic clip itself and around the hole it goes into and it is completely gone.

Hope that helps.

Could it be the passenger side seatbelt rattling against the inside of the car. I've noticed this before in my car

I think you're right about that. Most of my rattles I think are coming from the door panel but it doesn't happen all the time, usually when its hot.

It's most likely a loose clip. Most G's have rattling noises.

Metal on Metal noise I've noticed is the passenger front/back seat seatbelt hitting a column. I also had a rattling noise from cluster gauge and they replaced it under warranty.

Not the seat belt for me .... I always make sure that's up in teh full position. It's definately coming from the door. Some Saturday when I have time I'll investigate.

i have both of these problems that you guys are referencing and tried for months to figure out what it was. I ended up taking my car to the dealer three times to figure it out but they never were able to resolve it.

The rattling from the steering wheel is the most annoying but it comes and go now. I got used to it.

The rattling from the passanger side door sometimes is the seat belt so I just plug it in when it makes the noise. Sometimes it works sometime it doesn't. The technician from the dealer said g37s have a problem with rattling and the more he tries to mess with the internal components, the worse the problem will probably get.

I just got used to it. Only bad thing about the car. Good luck

I think its a Nissan thing. My Maxima had all types of rattles. The G is alot better. I haven't heard of this problem in the newer maxima's though.
