Possibly buying a 10 g37x coupe
Tomorrow I am going to test drive a 2010 G35x Coupe with 13,000 miles on it.
What kind of things should I look for? Were there any major issues with the 2010 auto tranny?
I have narrowed it down to the g37x coupe and a 2011 optima sx....I know completely different classes.
The lowest price for the g37x is $33,700 and it has the tech package but i dont think it has the premium because there was no laser cruise control.
Is this a good deal?

Sounds like a good deal for a 10 X Coupe w/Prem & Nav. I love mine, except it needs to be lowered and some 20's like this: https://www.myg37.com/forums/picture...37x-coupe.html

So I went and test drove the g37x.
What a sweet ride it was!!!!!
My only complaints are the road noise, hard to acces the seat adjustments with the door closed, Nav screen visibility when there is sun on it, and back seat and trunk space.
The car is very quick and poised. I fell in love as soon as i started the car...the exhaust note is amazing!!!
I was surprised the blind spots weren't that bad at all.
Dealer was willing to give me 6400 for my 04 Avalon with 126,000 miles on it

I was in almost exactly the sane situation as you 6 weeks ago. It was a 2010 xS with premium and nav that had almost 13K on it vs a new Optima SX. I had all but signed for the Optima when I realized the salesman was trying to screw me out of financing rebate. As I walked out on him I said "I'd rather get a G anyway." The next day I negotiated the G down to $32700 and bought it. I still like the looks of the Optima and would love the better mileage but there is no way it could match the balance, road feel, or power of the G, nor would it be as equipped for the winter. So, no refers.

What are the issues with the seat bubbles?
Iv heard that a couple times now.
Also i hard the vq engines like to consume oil and it is still an issue...does anyone have info on that?

optima looks great but i would definitely go for the G. ive had 0 issues with my g37x sedan and i like the 7at. its interesting you complained about road noise but i have not noticed any in mine. did you notice road noise in the optima? otherwise i think it might be your coming from a toyota avalon which is quiet like a lexus.
