lately i have been revving my engine alot...i usually shift around 6000 rpm using the paddle shifters. i just love the thrill when all the torque kicks in!
but i heard it could be really bad for ur engine in the long term. anyways, i was wondering has anyone had problems with their engine by revving or
redlining too much and what rpm do u guys usually shift at?

me too. I sometimes rev it up to 6-7k before shifting.

my car is leased so I don't really mind long term

when i'm just driving.. i shift at 3,000-3,500 rpms = cruising mode..
when a G or Z happpens to pass by, when idk when it happens.. i red line.

 

I need to do it more often haha. I always shift at 3K-4K RPM. Need to take her a bit higher.

 

It doesn't do anything but waste a crapload of gas....at $4+ a gallon, good luck with that s**t

 

The torque VQ engines make at around 4200-5000 rpms is just amazing and the noise, dont even get me started.

 

3800-5500=Perfect sound, especially if you got a aftermarket exhaust.

There are a few ppls on here who tracks their g, 5g+ all day long.

As for me, redline on every stop sign 24/7.
