15,000 mile service. Questions about parts?
Hello Everyone.
I have 2009 G37S Coupe and it finally hit 15,000 miles.
I called dealeres and they would charge me about 450~500 for 15,000 mile service.
I read most of the threads about it and I am now aware that I should do most things on my own.
I had some questions about ordering parts.
Change your oil/oil filter
I've been using Mobil1 Full Synthetic Oil and Mobil1 Oil filters. Everytime, I just bought them from autozone etc, and just paid labor for the change. I am gonna do the same
Change your cabin air filter
I heard that OEM part is more expensive and worse in quaility. I don't mind price range from 10 to 40 dollars, but which brand should I buy?
I saw K&N, NPN, Replacement, Wik. What do you guys recomend if there is anything difference? Also I am gonna look up DIY and do it.
Rotate your tires once a year.
I don't think I will need because I have aftermarket wheels.
Change your engine air filters once every 2 years.
I have no idea what this is. Where do I buy? I would hope to use OEM part but where do I get it? Is this also easy enough to do it by myself? I imagine that, since this is with Engine, I would feel more comfortable buy part separetly, and pay labor fee and do it
Please let me know where I can buy this.
Thank you everyone for your help and comments

Inspect Brake system

Replace Cabin air filter

I'm not trying to be a wise a$$, but if you don't know how to change your engine air filters, you shouldn't attempt to do any work on your car.
You should be able to get everything done that is recommended for the 15,000 mile service, for less then 1/2 the price the dealers are quoting, at a reputable independent shop.

So if you take out all of the things that say inspect and not replace, you're left with an oil change, engine filters and new cabin air filter for $500. Wow. That would cost about $80 DIY.

I got the HKS drop in filters. I heard they give you a few ponies
Cabin filter there is only one. Engine filters there are two. It's the filter inside the stock intake box! The two big black boxes when you open your hood. Just open up those boxes and replace the filters. Takes like a minute..
