Sooo i was driving the G37 sedan..

I noticed something pretty cool and i don't know if it exist on the G37 Coupe.. every time you would exit the G37 sedan, the driver seat would automatically move backwards and the steering wheel would move up making it an easy exit. When you would get in the car and once you push the "Start" button, the steering wheel lowers to your preference and the seat moves forward...

Can that be done on the G37s/G37 coupe????

Nope, doesn't. I asked my dealer that when I got my car and he says he doesn't know why it doesn't do that in the coupe but it does in sedan. You'd think it should do that seeing as how our coupes are a little more $$$. So technically should it have everything the sedan has?

I thought this was a feature that comes with the premium package. I know the sedans come with them since mine does it. I guess it doesn't do it in the coupe?

Another reason why sedans (especially the new ones) > coupes.

The sedans had this feature since 2005 lol

My 2011 Sedan does not have this feature.

Is it because mine is a 6mt and not automatic?
This is bull, I want that feature.

Mine makes a slight noise when i turn the engine off as if it has this feature but nothing moves. Sounds like a jolt of power is going to the servos but then it stop.

I've got a 2011 6mt sedan as well and I was told that the feature is not available on the 6mt for some reason. I also thought that the sedans were supposed to have air vents behind the center console, but I guess that feature is also available only on automatics?

I have 6mt 2010 mine don't have it either I was pretty mad too I feel like I would crinkle the seat less if it moved back before I got out so I programmer seat position 2 to all the way back and steering wheel up and I hit button number 2 before I get out of car

There is a very good reason why the coupe does not come with this feature. Do you see how little room there is in the backseat when you roll the seat all the way back? If the seat moved back automatically, it will crush the legs of the rear passenger sitting behind you.

Ohhhh that makes sense!! then there should be a senor in the driver back seat that knows when someone is sitting back there and not. Haha

Good point. Whenever someone is sitting behind me, I let them get out before I open my door to let everything slide back. I don't want their feet getting stuck under my seat. lol However IIRC, you can mess with the settings to control if you just want the steering wheel tilting up or just the seats sliding back.

I'm not 100% but I'm pretty sure the steering wheel part anyway is a feature on the IPL.

I disabled this feature on my car because I don't want my seats to crush my passengers. There's not much room in the back anyway (with my driver's seat set up the way it is )
